getting the Digital/RF channel of a tuner

Post by hpweatherguy »

Hi,

I'm writing a signal display app, simular to the Signal GH app in the apple store. One thing i'm unable to get is the Digital/RF channel that a tuner is on. I know it can be done, as Signal GH does this. I'm currently using the http://<device>status.json to get the most of the information i need and i'm looking for something of the same for the Digital/RF channel of a tuner.

The frequency tells you that but for most the app itself tuned by channel so it already knows such (but you should still be able to do the frequency conversion for those instances where you didn't tune it from your app).

note to do such you will probabably need to know what country you are in.
