Hello,
I have an HDHomeRun Dual TV tuner, model: HDHR3-DT, firmware: 20230505, it works great!
I use DVBViewer Pro with my HDHomeRun on my PC, and the native HDHomeRun app for Android TV. I'd like to use IPTV apps such as M3U IPTV or Sparkle TV, and possibly VLC with its playlist panel. I searched the web how to achieve it. I read the latest firmware allows to download a TV channel lineup at http://<tuner_ip_address_here>/lineup.json (or .m3u, or .xml), but I get a "404 Error Page Not Found" error message for each attempt (the IP address is the right one, I'm 100% sure).
I discovered this tutorial for Linux that works also for Windows, and that allows to open a TV channel in VLC. It works fine, however it's not convenient at all, on a daily basis... I remember there was, years ago, a file that you could feed into VLC, that opened a docked playlist in the right pane with the TV channel lineup, and you could change channel at will... I wonder how DVBViewer Pro does it so easily...
Do you know how to retrieve an M3U8 playlist with the TV channels of this tuner, that I could use in Android TV apps such as those you can import M3U8 files?
Thank you.
Getting the list of TV channels, creating an M3U8 file, and using VLC

Legacy devices don't support http streaming so there isn't an m3u to get... if you have the complete windows software package you can run a scan to get a lineup hosted by SD but thst would require software that uses the old hdhomrun protocol for tuning to use such list
You will need a 4th gen or later model for http streaming. The prime and 3rd gen 4dc (both for cable rather than antenna) are only 3rd gen to support such.

Thank you... I trust you, but this is odd, as I remember, a few years ago, I used Linux, and I used to watch TV with this tuner and VLC. I only remember the channel lineup wasn't an M3U file format, it was a different format.Too bad I didn't keep the procedure in my notes...
