HDHomeRun Config (GUI) preview black screen in Windows 11

When I try to preview in channel in HDHOmeRun Config (GUI) on a Windows 11 laptop, I get a black screen. How can I fix this issue? It is launching Windows Media Player.

Yes, I installed it after installing HDHomeRun on this laptop. How can I get it to use VLC instead of Windows Media Player?

As long as the (default) setting in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\VideoLAN\VLC is set to the path to VLC, usually C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe , it should be used automatically. It must be the version downloaded from the VLC website, not the Microsoft Store version.
