Original owner of an HDRH3-US from maybe 10 years ago (pcb has a silkscreen date of 2010). Though I haven't used it many years, it has lived plugged into power since day 1. Now I'd like to use it again but it has no LED's lit. Found the adapter was bad - it would not hold 5V but oscillated between 1-5V continuously. Replaced the old electrolytic in the adapter - solid 5V now and even 5V at the jack on the board. I also see a solid 3.3V and 1.2V from the on-board regulators of the HDHR3-US. Still no green lights. I do have a link light on my ethernet switch, so ethernet HW layer works.
I'm guessing the flash is corrupted and the CPU is not booting on this board, probably from the bad power supply not letting it boot properly over and over again.
Question - anyone fix one of these at the hardware level? I see an unpopulated set of header pins that might be for a JTAG or BDM port for programming, or even for a console port. Any chance someone has used that port to fix a 'dead' HDHR3-US?
