ATSC 3.0 channel stuttering

Post by willthethrill »

Hello!

I'm in the Chicago area and channel 109.1 is super choppy for me. The signal strength is good imo, so I don't know what could be wrong? Send diagnostic information is on.

I did notice while collecting the log information that tuner 0 returns the below information but then also returns no information during the choppiness.

Hardware Model HDFX-4K
Firmware Version 20231214
ATSC3-DRM SD20230420
Device ID 10A00D25
MAC Address 00:18:DD:0A:00:D2
IP Address 192.168.87.81
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0

Tuner 0 Status
Virtual Channel 109.1 WGN-NG
Frequency 207.000 MHz
Program Number 5
Modulation Lock atsc3
Signal Strength 85%
Signal Quality 100%
Symbol Quality 100%
Streaming Rate 3.285 Mbps
Resource Lock 192.168.87.49

This is the download url I used: http://192.168.87.81:5004/auto/v109.1?f ... ration=120

Do you see playback issues on all devices or just the Shield? It looks like something is interfering with the network communications between it and the HDHomeRun. Also, how does 166.1 look?

Well, I restarted the tuner and it seems fine now. I guess it could have been my network, but I don't have any other problems. Thanks for looking into this! If I see it again I'll post here.
