Conflict warning missing

I have mentioned this before, but the problem is much more severe since switching from a Prime (3 tuners + live TV) to over-the-air Duo (2 tuners only).
There is no warning when there is a tuner scheduling conflict. My old Media Center would warn you if you were watching something and the tuner needed to change channels to complete a recording. HDHR lets you keep watching and “decides” which show it will not record.
There is often not enough info in the guide to determine if there will be a conflict when movies span hours and shows may have over-lapping start times. Oddly, the presence of the red recording dots in the guide might indicate a conflict when there is none, since the dot appears on a show even if it won’t be recorded until a later time.
To ‘solve’ the problem, I sometimes choose a second time for a Record this airing and add additional episodes using this alternative time. This results in multiple Task entries that all show every episode I selected. Three episodes? Three identical Tasks entries showing all three episodes that will be recorded. If I delete one of those tasks, it is actually only deleting one of those episodes (you cannot tell which will be deleted) and the two remaining tasks will show the same two episodes still to be recorded.
This may be because there is no way to edit a Task to remove one scheduled episode. (Another new feature?)

You don't need to schedule additional times - the HDHomeRun will record every episode once so if it can't record the first airing it will automatically record the next airing. If the first airing recorded successfully it knows not to record the next airing of the same episode. It even tracks episodes across cable TV and antenna sources so if the antenna tuners are busy it can record the same episode from cable.

As to the number of tuners, the thing to keep in mind is that the DVR doesn't know how many tuners will be available when a recording is scheduled to start. The DVR doesn't own the tuners, instead tuners are a shared resource pool available via the network. You have two HDHomeRun units making a pool of 5 tuners. If you plug into a QUARTO for example you will have a pool of 9 tuners available to the DVR.

From what I can see, the only way to record an episode that runs at a specific time is to select an individual episode and “Record this airing”.
For example, I want to record a series that is shown at 9:00pm, 1:00am and repeated 6 days later at the same times. If I select the 1:00am showing and choose Record more, the Task sets itself to record the 9:00pm showings. I don’t want that because in this case I know it will conflict with other shows: a movie at 7:00pm and an hour show at 8:30pm. Again, the main point is that there is no warning about conflicts.
BTW, I dumped cable so now I only have two tuners.

In most cases that just involves changing the order of the rules, the exception being when there is overlap of buffer on same channel then that channel remains tuned.

Best solution is more tuners there were times that 24 tuners weren't enough for me. But fir most 4-8 should be plenty.

Also for movies I would suggest such one off recordings as oneoffs.have higher priority
