Boston 3.0 locals
Is SD supporting encrypted ATSC 3.0 channels. All my Boston 3.0 Channels except PBS come up with a message saying they aren’t available by the provider. I have the HDHR Flex 4 tuner unit.

Interesting read.
I just came from a competitors 2 tuner unit. I could get the encrypted Chanel’s through that device. However to get 4 tuners and whole house access it meant purchasing 2 units ($600) units and other expensive hardware. So I sold the unit which was a wash $$ vise and purchased the HDHR Flex 4 tuner. Using it with Plex and Nvidia Shield. I was however disappointed that I could not access HDHR remotely when away from home. Otherwise a bit of a learning curve but the HDHR works quite well. I live 73 miles from the ATSC 1.0 towers and 92 away from the ATSC 3.0 towers. The 1.0 towers are good about 90% of the time and the 3.0 tower is good only about 40% of the time. So isn’t consistent enough to cut cable. Since the Televes roof antenna is up so why waste it.

All the 3.0 channels are upscaled simulcast of their 1.0 channels. We are not missing anything.
