In the following developers guide there is the mention of being able to use the transcode= option to transcode the video stream:
https://www.silicondust.com/hdhomerun/h ... opment.pdf
It mentions the Plus model, which obviously is no longer available. The following URL also mentions that the Extend model has a transcoder:
https://info.hdhomerun.com/info/extend
but that also doesn't seem to be available. My question is which current models (Flex DUO, Flex QUATRO, Flex 4K) have a transcoder? Any information would be appreciated.
For a bit of background, I am trying to transcode without having to add an additional device (Plex server, ChannelsDVR, etc.) to do the transcoding. If the HDHomeRun itself can do the transcoding, then that works for my scenario. I tried it on a Flex DUO, and even though it takes the transcode= command, the video stream doesn't seem like it's being transcoded, so I have to assume that the Flex DUO doesn't have a transcoder?
What current models have a transcoder?

Re: What current models have a transcoder?
Only the extend transcodes (the "plus" was an early name for it) and that was dropped long ago..

Thanks. I'll probably look at picking one up on eBay.
