HD Homerun App V89.0 not working with Roku Player

I've been a Roku user since nearly the beginning but got tired of the app being SLOW and crashing when FF'ing a recorded show on the 4k stick on the bedroom TV. That problem never happens on the main TV's 4802 Ultra but still not has fast as the onn. I've not experienced any issues "Discovering" on either Roku box as others have reported. Last year I opted for the $20 onn box JUST for the HDHR app and what a difference. Instant REW and FF'ing with no crashes. Now that the Pro model is out, I picked up one for the main TV and moved the other box to the bedroom TV.

Version 93.0 build 20240524 says "Error Please update your Roku Device"

I am still experiencing the same result - "When HD Homerun App is selected, display briefly shows discovering devices, then returns to Roku Home Screen showing HD Homerun App icon". No Joy.

Please update to 20240524. It will still fail but it should now either show an error message or exit and then show an error message when you start it again.

You need to be running Roku OS 13 which was released a few weeks ago. Check for updates for the Roku.

My Roku device is:

Roku Player - Roku 4 4400X
SW Build v11.5.0 build 4312-17

It appears that Roku no longer supports the 4400X with OS updates.

Supported Roku devices receiving Roku OS 13:

I guess I have to get a new Roku player.

My other Roku is a 3810x. I just updated it to Roku OS 13.0.0 build 24056-50.
HD Homerun Version 93.0 build 20240524 shows video but no audio.

I guess my old Roku 4400 is now officially a coaster.

I don't know all of the technical details, but I do know that we need some new debugging stuff that was added in OS 13, so I'm not sure if we can still make the app work with OS 12, but Nick and the dev team will know more.

In the meantime, you should still be able to get basic live TV working using the Roku "Media Player" app. The HDHomeRun should show up as a network/DLNA source, and I think channels show up like a row of icons/files. Select one and it will start playing as if it were a "file", but it will be live TV.

I'm not sure if you were responding to me. If so, I'm retiring the Roku 4400x so OS 12 is no longer an issue for me.

I found the Media Player app, and it, too, displays video but no audio on my Roku 3810x running OS 13.0.0 build 24056-50 and HD Homerun Version 93.0 build 20240524.

Yes, that was the first thing that I checked. Assuming that the link you provided continues to have correct information, my device is configured correctly.

OK, here's something weird: HD HomeRun works just fine (video and audio) under Roku Media Player on the Roku 4400x. On the 3810x I get only video, no audio.
