Flex 4k ATSC 3.0 "Unable to Play channel: No Video Data"

Post by DarkKaplah »

Hi all!

Found a similar post to this with specific steps to follow. I've done that and my device ID information is included

"
Model: HDFX-4K
Device ID: 10A48496
Firmware: 20231214
"

I've turned on "Send diagnostic information" in the webpage before I scanned for channels, then used the windows client. I set it to "Send diagnostic information" and then tried watching one of the ATSC channels.

I'm in the metro Detroit market so we have the bare minimum ATSC 3.0 stations. I'm hoping it's not DRM, and as I had the local news on it should not have been DRM protected (not like it was a movie, but I know DRM is getting asinine)

WXYZ has DRM in Detroit. The rest of the ATSC 3 channels don't yet.

The signal levels are pretty low across all channels. For the ATSC 3.0 broadcast, you're able to lock on to the portion of the broadcast that was being used for testing mobile broadcasts (but is currently unused), but not the one used for everything else, as the signal isn't good enough. What kind of antenna are you using and what is the cable/amplifier/splitter layout?
