Grid guide locks app when timeframe has passed - Google TV

If I leave the grid guide up and turn off / hibernate the Google TV device, when I reopen the app after a long-ish period of time (overnight), I need to kill the app in settings as the buttons are unresponsive after the times on the screen in the grid guide have passed.

How specifically are you hibernating the Google TV device?

We will leave a test running overnight.
