Fire tv cannot find HDHomeRun device

My Fire TV stick suddenly stopped being able to find my Flex Duo. No other devices on my Network are having a problem (iPad, android phones, computers). I tried uninstalling and re-installing, but the stick seems to be stuck on “Installing”.
Since the sound on my Roku does not work for HDHomeRun app, I am down to casting from my iPad to my TV.
Any suggestions?
