Re: no live tv, (no guide access)
Is the connection on/active 24/7 or does it get shut off when not in use?
Re: no live tv, (no guide access)

Re: no live tv, (no guide access)
There isn't anything to reset... closest you can do is remove rf input and run a scan to clear the channel map which isn't anything you would want to do in this case. However you may have luck with restarting hdhr and/or router.
I had seen a couple of routers that performed similar... one was not liking the way SD has multiple entries for dns the other had issues at the various renewal stages of dhcp fixing itself when the full lease time was up and was messed up when it tries to renew at half its lease time. Occasionally I've seen similar behavior of other devices when doing reservations, particularly if reservation was outside normal dhcp range or if manually "renamed" in the entry.

Re: no live tv, (no guide access)
thankyou for confirming that
i kind of thought that was the case but you never know there might have been some service mode to be activated
the router has worked for 3 years no issues, i have another router exactly the same issues
not sure where to go with it now, we all did experiance the same issues about 2 years ago and that was hdhomeruns server playing up

Re: no live tv, (no guide access)
I think the only way to get any further on this would be to get a packet capture of what is going in and out of the HDHomeRun when this is happening. Do you have a computer that has 2 network interfaces, either 2 wired or wired+wireless?
Re: no live tv, (no guide access)
yes i have, not got a clue how to set that up
Re: no live tv, (no guide access)
Windows or Mac?
Re: no live tv, (no guide access)
I'm having the exact same issue (no guide access), and interestingly I also have an LTE router (Vodafone 5G), ZTE mc801a. So mobile broadband/routers could be part of the issue maybe?challenge wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 1:22 am currently using vodaphone 4g lte
and huawei b535 232 router
edit. just tried it again and its working,
nothing changed as ive been out, it probably will fail again later
edit again, not working this morning
does not make sense
can i factory reset it????????
I find that rebooting my router does solve the issue (temporarily).

Hi,
I had the same issue and was able to fix the issue by updating the dns to google dns
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
i was using ad blocker dns on the router i am guessing this device was being blocked ..

Re: no live tv, (no guide access)
i still get this issue every now and again, tried the dns setting they made no difference
i also tried a different APN which can work then a few days later i have to change back to the previous one to get it to work again
there is NO adblocker on the router
it was on 3 network and that was faultless
now on vodaphone (lebara) and its hit and miss
i get around it by doing the above but its a pain
also another strange issue that im not sure if its related or not, the tv guide never works properly, its ok to look to the next show but anymore than that and it locks up
i have 3 devices, firestick, android tabet and android tv they all do exactly the same, i also use it on windows 10 and you cannot see the cursor arrows to move the guide to a different timeslot
if i used the channels app that works fine but i do pref the official software
when the tv guide funtion came out that worked perfectly for a month or so
