Hi,
I'm in Australia, DVB-T2, and the HDHomeRun FLEX QUATRO (HDFX-4DT) seems to be the compatible product.
I have a Plex Server and also Windows Media Centre - Windows 7.
Would anyone know if the FLEX Quatro will work with Window 7 Media Centre? It's quite old, so I'm curious if it is still supported.
Also I can see that Plex fully supports the HDHomeRun, but what are the chances that I could allocate some HDHomeRun tuners to Plex, and some to WMC?
Thanks!

Re: HDHomeRun FLEX QUATRO (HDFX-4DT) Plex and Windows 7 Media Centre
We provide BDA drivers for the HDHomeRun FLEX QUATRO to work with WMC.
Tuners are allocated as needed to whichever app on a first-come-first-served basis. ie all 4 tuners are available to both Plex and WMC.

Re: HDHomeRun FLEX QUATRO (HDFX-4DT) Plex and Windows 7 Media Centre
Australia still uses DVB-T so it should work in WMC. If/when they move to DVB-T2 (no firm plans or set date, just a lot of thinking about it), it would almost certainly stop working with WMC due to WMC's age and lack of support for newer video codecs like HEVC. The HDHomeRun itself would be fine with a move to DVB-T2, and Plex probably wouldn't have any problems, assuming those in charge of the switch pick a well-supported audio codec.

Thanks Nick, Jason.
My mistake, yes Australia is still dvb-t.
But no matter, the hdhomerun sounds like it will do what I am after.
I've recently been using Plex for accessing media and live tv but found the live tv to be buggy. I can't rely on the recordings to work. I've been a long time WMC user and while it is a bit limited in features compared to Plex, the platform is virtually bullet proof for the basics.
So the thought is to use hdhomerun, share tuners between Plex and WMC. Use WMC to record and watch if I want, but share the recorded TV back to Plex. Can also use Plex to stream some tuners from anywhere
