Hi. Recently my Flex has stopped recording. The HomeRun app reports on Discover and Task tabs that a recording is in progress, but the Recording tab never displays the program. I also have a Prime and that records with no problem.
Any suggestions what might be amiss? I suspect it might be due to recent update. I'd like to revert to last version, but can't find where they're kept.
Thanks for help,
Dan

Then reply back the next time the DVR misses a recording, and that should log the error.

Re: Flex 4K has does not record
The red dot does not mean a recording is in progress... it means that show could be recorded as it matches a rule.
Where is the recording engine (since you mentioned the prime still working)? Where did you check for the file? For instance, I have often found that since I run multiple engines that sometimes the app does not list a recently recorded file on the top line and behaves as if it only lists one (or at least not all) of my recording engines but if I navigate through the alphabetical series list on the second line, and click on that series (note could be in movies or sports if that was the type of show being looked for) the file will show up there.
If the engine is on a pc or nas, you may wish to check its logs and see if it can even find the flex... i have seen a number of issues on various equipment once ipv6 was enabled on the more modern devices (the prime will remain on ipv4 as it isn't modern enough). Typically this is a firewall or security software issue. What appears to happen is ipv6 address gets added but not the ipv4 address (even though it received responses from both) and then can't communicate with a 4th gen or later device

Re: Flex 4K has does not record
@ NedS: Last night (17th) I checked to see if the Flex was recording and it seemed to work. I had started a support ticket earlier which responded with similar instructions. This morning I set the "send diagnostic information" flag and rebooted the Flex. I then started 2 recordings which seem to be working. I'm stumped. My daily recordings had been failing for a couple of days. I had rebooted the Flex, but recordings still did not register in Recorded tab.
PS I had sent an email to support through the website but never got a response, so I thought I'd try the forums. I then manually sent an email to support to start a ticket as well. This morning I saw the first email to support stuck in my OutBox. It went out before I could delete it. Sorry for confusion.
@signcarver. Not sure what you mean buy 'engine'. The Flex 4k tuner doubles as a DVR with external drive attached, so the tuner and recorder are integrated. The Prime is located about as far away from the Flex/DVR as it could be in my house, next to the router. The Flex is hardwired to router.
I don't know what could have caused the Flex outage as the Prime wouldn't record if the Flex lost connection to the router. I will monitor recordings and post again when a recording is skipped.
Thanks for help,
Dan

Re: Flex 4K has does not record
If programs from Prime records just fine, that means the recording engine, which in your case is the Flex, works fine. Checkout the log on the Flex itself might reveal some clues.
