Live TV freezes While Recording

I just recently started using HDHomeRun Flex. The first time I tried watching live while also recording the same program, the live viewing periodically froze for several seconds. Using Apple TV 4K unit. Never have any freeze ups if not recording.

Can you please turn on "send diagnostic information" in the settings menu of the HDHomeRun app on your Apple TV then reply back with the Device ID of your HDHomeRun.

The log shows two issues...

The first is a write error attempting to write to the hard drive while watching live TV. I am not seeing any SMART errors but I would recommend running a long disk check on the hard drive using the WDC test software on your PC.

The second is a problem with the recovery handling of the write error - I am looking into this.

I ran the WDC test software on the disk. It kept erroring out. I swapped the drive out with the one I have on my Other Guys unit (Tablo). I will see what that does.

I did find out last night that I didn't have to be watching the same channel as the recording to have it freeze up. I was watching one channel and recording a show on an other one and it still froze up several times.
