Hi ifishcat - I deleted the app on my firestick and installed it again. When the app starts, on the lower left hand corner the app should show as version 20220929. The app should automatically install the update, no need to delete and install it, but I did it anyways (used to it with anything android)

Live TV, no dvr on my setup
nickk wrote: Wed Sep 28, 2022 11:11 am What did you do/press leading up to the error?
As I recall, it was to get the guide, channel list to come up... either OK/select or possibly forward or back button. I don't recall.

And now there looks to be a 9/27 update to the software so I can no longer reproduce... this one.

FYI - new error now. Instead of 'StarTime' it is 'Guide' now
Same situation, going to to switch to another channel and this happens.

I'm the latest update in the app, and the 20220831beta1 software update on the box.

One issue that started happening since the update - just noticed it.

CC or Closed Captions gets reset daily. I enable it today, stays on for the whole day. Tomorrow is not enabled unless it's done manually.

Do I have to open a new thread for this?

That behavior is many months old (so those threads are probably gone)... it doesn't remember from one launch to the next. Personally I think that needs to be a setting. Or are you referring to its behavior changing mid stream (which i haven't seen)?

When you say mid stream, what do you refer to? Sorry, don't mean to be rude, just new to this.

If a setting, which is the best way to make it permanent? If there is an option.

Prior to the main issue on this thread, there were on all the time. I have older ones at the house, hearing ain't as great as eye sight, reason why CC plays a big deal for them.

It has been several months (if not over a year) since the app has maintained the caption/subtitle setting (previous state). The only way they would remain on is if volume is at 0 and you use passthrough (but I thought they may have removed that feature as it was causing issues when on a tv rather than stick/box as volume is "always" at 0 and uses passthrough (i.e. a sony google tv) )

My point is it should be a setting, a request for such setting, not that it actually has such.

By mid stream I was asking if it was turning off without exiting app.

I follow you now, but before these couple of issues reported above, subs were always on. Now, wether you exit the app, or not, it's not longer the case.

No, if I turn them on, they stay on, no cut offs or anything. My believe is that next day it 'resets' to where it's off again. And yes, no passthrough here (a sammy tv actually)
