NAS Install Error

Post by nzz20v »

Model: HDHR4-2DT
Device ID: 12305B8F
Firmware: 20220822
Installer Version hdhomerun_windows_20220831beta1

Installed New Software - Firmware Successful - When Using The HDHomeRun Install Wizard To Enable Recording Functionality (Same Way I've Used For Years) Now Getting "An established connection was aborted by the server. Unable to install"

I get prompted for the admin and then it crashes - Tried a DS720+ and DS1821+ Both Give The Same Error

Second Note Within The Installer " This Browser May Not Be Supported" It Appears to be packaged into the installer

Anyone able to offer me any guidance, Thanks

Synology made changes that mount /tmp as noexec so your choices are to either move the real record engine from /tmp to a place that it can run (i.e. the "share") and run it from there, remount /tmp as exec, or use the docker package.

But your error messages seem to also suggest something a bit different.

Are you able to log in to the NAS using SSH? https://kb.synology.com/en-id/DSM/tutor ... SSH_Telnet

I Resolved It By Running mount -o remount,exec /tmp
