My cable company moving to streaming

Post by bbrennanhp »

Got notice today that Comporium is doing away with our wired cable and going to streaming only as of January 1st. Wondering if my HD Homerun product would still somehow work with streaming content.

No, the HDHomeRun only supports cable providers who use QAM, it's not compatible with providers who use IP delivery. After they switch to streaming only, you'll only be able to watch via their smart TV, Android and iOS apps and will have to use their cloud DVR service for recordings.

You might be able to stream and record the TVE channels using Channels DVR, which also supports the SD HDHR Prime and OTA tuners.
