IOS: No Devices Detected

Post by GaryDouglas »

Just got home from trip. HDHomeRun no longer works on iPhone. Still works on Shield and Win10 laptop. Uninstalled app and reinstalled in casse the lastest test version was at fault. Still no good.

Lastest info:
iPad works.
iPad and iPhone are on latest version of iOS.
iPad works with ExpressVPN enabled.
iPhone does not work with ExpressVPN enabled, but does when VPN is disabled.

So I have a temporary work around.

Is this an HDHomeRun problem?

What is your question as you said it was working (most vpns would block SD's app from working so that was to be expected)

The idea of a VPN is to redirect network traffic down an encrypted tunnel. Some VPNs will redirect or block local network traffic meaning your device can't access devices on your local network while using the VPN.

All I know it used to work with VPN, now it doesn't. I presume ExpressVPN changed something then....
