112.1 Down. Pops a "TITAN" on the screen, then just random pixels

27 doesn't seem to list any streams available on any plp right now. Also of note based on power levels it seems shaw butte may be down as my strength is closer to what I see for stations from south mountain and plp0 rather than symbol quality 100% a few seconds then dropping to 0 briefly seems to be reversed in 0 most the time and 100% very briefly.

You are correct. The new software in their ROUTE encoder has gone belly up. Welcome to the bleeding edge of broadcasting...

27 seems up again (though power levels indicate south mountain). 12.1 (112.1) still bad (titan logo). I think a rescan may be necessary again.

Both S Mtn and Shaw Butte are at full power. It is an unfortunate thing that the ROUTE encapsulator that they picked seems to change the Route ID's every time they work on it. Which in turn requires a rescan for SD and Sony products.

That shouldn't require a rescan. The HDHomeRun remembers the Frequency + PLP config needed to find the LLS. As long as the Frequency + LLS PLP + VCN is unchanged it should tune ok.

Nick,
The route ID's have changed again on 27. The major/minor is still the same as is the IP address for each station. ABC, for instance, is now Route Service ID 3 where it was just recently Route Service ID 1. HDHomeRun says "Unable to play channel: Play restart required". Admittedly their PLP setup, while legal, is certainly non-standard. I do know that they always put the same stations back into the same PLP when they rebuild their setup in the Signaling, Signing, Route ecapsulator setup. So frequency, PLP config, and Major/Minor is the same yet the station's streams will not play until a recan occurs.

I had checked 112.1 just a few hours before that and was still getting the "titan" logo. I'm on wifi with my phone right now and 112.1 seemed a bit choppy compared to the others I tried but it may be the wifi. It will probably be morning before I report back if other devices handled it better.

You are correct at least from the west valley 112.1 has a few stutters or slight stalls.

All of them on 27 also seem a bit more bit starved (not as crisp possibly even lower resolution almost looks as if software decoding is being used by clients) though only 112.1 is giving me the issues of breakup and stutter. There are some times that it even seems to be going back to the previous behavior but without the titan logo.

I won't be home until late evening so can't really check on things... the observations I'm reporting were from overnight.

The problem with 12.1 is known by the KASW folks and at this point there is nothing they can do about it. (The problem is with the originator.)
KASW statmux's three streams into PLP1 and the other three streams statmuxed into PLP2. So yes, they will be bit starved at times because of the narrow PLP configuration if nothing else.

Just so everyone knows KTVW and KAZT have been dropped from KFPH 35 for awhile. So don't be surprised when 133.1 and 139.1 don't show up.
