QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
What's the easiest way to move the .conf file? I'm in the process of removing Volume1 on StoragePool1 to replace all the 4TB disks (currently in a RAID0) with 8TB disks.
Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
Is more than just the conf file to be migrated.
My recommendation since removal is non-destructive is to remove the package and reinstall once you've resolved the volumes, and then patch the conf file by updating the params and restarting.
You don't lose anything important by doing so.
Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
So I installed the latest verison, and with the qlocker issue i had I fully restored my NAS (factory reset), then installed this app, I turned off all outside internet access to my NAS to prevent these issues like qlocker in the future. However now when I try to navigate to MY.LOCAL.IP.ADDRESS/HDHomeRunDVR/ I get the 403 Forbidden page. I just uninstalled 1.0.4, and reinstalled 1.0.5 still getting the 403 page. Was this removed?
EDIT: It was asking for credentials to login... Is this normal?

You have a broken Web Server.
Make sure the Web server is enabled, and ports are opened in the firewall to local traffic (src address in your local subnet, e.g. 192.168.0.1/24)
Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
Is there any way to edit the first post to point to the current qpkg files?
I needed to update the recording engine and thought the files in the link were current.
Even if you can’t edit it someone at Silicondust should be able to do something.

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
When that post was made, I had no issue with getting file from Google drive or any of the other links, other than some needing one to select the newest which is what the instructions say (and yes 0.1x would come before 1.x since they are alphabetical).
Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
Is this working on QTS 5.x?
Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
No idea - QTS only came online for my NAS this morning and I plan to do an update later this evening and see.
My expectation is it will be good for existing installations as the QDK hasn't done a big shift in process unlike Synology.
Will report back asap.
Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
I just updated to the most recent version a few days ago with 5.x installed and had no issues.
Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
Hi, I installed HDHomeRun DVR on my QNAP NAS, as per the original topic of the thread. Thanks to DemonRick for this effort. I can open the app properly. I have trouble using it though. I don't have any hdhomerundvr user in the Users list in the control panel of QTS. Also, there is a message in the footer of the app that reads "HDHomeRun RECORD not running". Last, it seems my SiliconDust HDHomeRun Dual is not properly identified:
Could you give me hints to troubleshoot this, please?
Thank you.
It seems there is no recordings schedule feature, I guess this is because of the aforementioned errorsDiscovered HDHomerun Devices

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
What exact model as "Dual" and the deviceid provided suggest a legacy device which isn't compatible with the dvr. (i.e. a hdhr3-dt which begins with 3 ones, though I don't recall seeing such reported with 4 ones I suspect they sold enough to get that high) The dvr requires a modern tuner which generally would be 4th gen or later (the prime and expand are the only 3rd gen devices that support the modern methods)
