Subtitle Issues

Post by engene7 »

When will the Subtitle issues be fixed?

When you mute HDHomeRun, for example via a Mute button on a keyboard, Subtitles are automatically displayed.
Then, when you un-mute, the last Subtitle remains on-screen...
The only way to remove the Subtitle is to close and re-start HDHomeRun.

Not really a viable way to use the program...

HDHomeRun software... on Windows PC.
It's all related the the Freezing issue that has been on-going for years now.

More feedback.

If you toggle the CC menu button on the GUI, so Subtitles appear, and then disable Subtitle by pressing the GUI button for a second time, the last subtitle shown becomes frozen on screen...

The only way to remove the subtitles is to close HDHomeRun, and re-open it.

Seriously, this is a rather obvious bug...

Problem specific to DVB subtitles. Fix will be in the next UI update.

This was fixed and released last month. Are you still experiencing an issue with subtitles freezing on screen when you turn off subtitles?

Yes - the issue is still the same, although potentially happening a 'bit less often'.
But it it is still there, exactly the same.

Please, can we have a real fix?

More info - randomly, when the hardware 'mute' button is pressed on my keyboard, subtitles are enabled, other time they are not.
Every time subtitles do appear, they stay on-screen when Mute is disabled.
When Mute is disabled, the subtitles are then frozen on screen, and do not update at all.

This is very obvious, and easy to replicate.
