I can watch it in normal format on my TV's by overriding the TV format to 16:9, but it looks terrible on my Tablo DVRs and HDHomerun HDHR5...
Can you please make a 30 second capture so we can review and talk to the station.

Nick, if you are so eager to pester stations to fix their aspect ratio, how about starting with your own backyard? E.g Newsnet on 24-7 broadcast is available on multiple frequencies. The one on RF 24 KAAP-LD7 has a wrong aspect ratio. It is also missing (w) in this report:
https://rabbitears.info/search.php?requ ... rk=NewsNet

Code: Select all

7 San Francisco, California
24-07	(24)	480i	KAAP-LD	SANTA CRUZ, CA	Major Market Broadcasting
24-07	(11)	480i	KPJC-LD	San Francisco, CA	Jeff Chang
24-7	(22)	480i (w)	KZHD-LD	Rohnert Park, CA	One Ministries
24-7	(14)	480i (w)	KDTS-LD	SAN FRANCISCO, CA	Word of God Fellowship

Nick - did you get anywhere with them? This is their wikipedia page (clearly shows 16:9 format): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KBVO_(TV)

Here's a reverse situation for the Philly area. Local Now is distrubuted as 4:3 network with 14:9 letterboxing, but WDPN 2.7 has it set to 16:9 so everything appears stretched:

(There's a bunch of pixelation/breakup right now because a storm system is going through the area, but the sample should be good enough for you to view the parameters and see how it looks stretched)

Ouch, that's messy (the aspect ratio part). We'll reach out and see what we can do.
