After Amazon fire cube TV update, now get “install failure”

Hi

Was waiting for new hrhomerun app to appear on Amazon

Today was a major fire cube tv update. I did that but when I download/install HDHR app get

Install failure
HDHomeRun has been corrupted and cannot be installed.

Any ideas?

Download the app using downloader from bit.ly/hdhrapp. It will install.

Somehow the copy Amazon has appears to be bad. We will try resubmitting the app with a bumped version number. Until then, sideloading is the recommended workaround: https://www.aftvnews.com/sideload-apk-a ... ownloader/

Then use bit.ly/hdhrapp for the URL.

I used downloader and installed it no prob. Copied from another user "Download the app using downloader from bit.ly/hdhrapp. It will install." from ronintexas

what is the link to access 21jan update on my fire tv? bitly URL points to 04jan image. i'm trying to avoid the unknown wait time for it to migrate to amazon library and would prefer to use downloader.

also wondering if the ATSC3.0 sound issue w amazon is an amazon issue or SD issue (only 2.1 sound on 4k channels)

Amazon fixed the store problem - you should now be able to use the Amazon app store to install the update.

But I’m looking for the 21jan update, Amazon is currently installing something labeled 20210113 (guessing that’s really 04jan)
