Change DVR file type
I use the HDHomerun Quatro to record OTA to Plex. The recorded files are .ts and not only are they quite large, but I can't get subtitles in Plex because .ts aren't supported. Is there a way on the HDhomerun to change the recorded file type?

Until you get into some atsc 3.0 specifics, the tuner just passes the bits which is a ts for "all" digital broadcast television
What happens to those bits can vary by the software actually recording it but most just record the stream as is.
What software are you using to record? What region are you in as different parts of the world treat subtitles differently.
