Record issue

Post by bukzin »

While on the MyHDHomeRun page my Connect Duo shows...

HDHomeRun RECORD
Version 20190621 with a red X next to it.

What does this indicate and how can it be fixed?

Thx

Your connect duo would not show "RECORD" as that is a recording engine.

Both firmware of duo and the recording engine should be on latest which is 20200225. From the description, most likely you have a computer with outdated full software package that includes "RECORD"

What are the steps to update the versions of my Duo and my Windows 10 desktop?

Download the full software package from sd (software not app... see viewtopic.php?f=126&t=20613 ), install (run downloaded file) then run the setup program (should ask you if you want to do so after install). You may need to reboot 2 or 3 times and run hdhomerun setup again as it requires both 32bit and 64 bit redistrubutable libraries installed with a reboot after each and sometimes needs a 2nd restart of setup to not produce an error).

If it wasn't the pc with the engine running (i.e. engine running off nas) you will have to update the engine typically through the dvr tab of the setup program. Some may run their engine on an android box (i.e. nvidia shield) and that would require an update of the android app but last i heard the latest android app (not ui) was 20200217 which is from the week before the engine update.
