I Installed the Win7 application and it works well as far as I see video and have audio and all the buttons seem to work, but the video feed is stuck in a 4:3 aspect ratio and I don't know how to change it.
Trying the Zoom option on the player only zooms the 4:3 video which doesn't help.
I've looked at the .ini files in the install foldr, but I don't see anything in there that looks like it's forcing the wrong screen ratio.
In comparison, I don't have VLC installed so I start a feed instead with Windows Media Player (e.g. http:// My.HD.Homerun.IP:5004/auto/v54) and WMP shows the video correctly.
Below is a screenshot with both players running, so this to me indicates that the issue is with the HDHomerun View app for windows 7.
I have a Windows 10 desktop and the app (installed from the microsoft store?) works fine. Its just the Win 7 app I downloaded directly from Silicondust that seems to have the problem in displaying video footage in the correct aspect ratio.
Discussion of the new user interface for the HDHomeRun app.

You want to have VLC installed. The Windows 7 app will use its decoders when available, and that generally gives the best results. Note that it needs to be the 32 bit version of VLC even if you're using a 64 bit version of Windows.
