Recordings on Scribe ?

Post by EddieP » Wed Jul 10, 2019 11:45 am

Is there any way to see what recordings are on the Scribe ? Right now I cannot tell what shows are on the Scribe if any.

The SCRIBE has a device webpage with basic DVR information including the amount of HDD space used.

More info would be good - I will raise the question internally.

If you are ok reading json you can get the list of recorded files by going to /recorded_files.json on the device.

Ok I am sure more info will be added in the future ... maybe a "wishlist" for the Scribe can be setup in a pinned thread ? I am quite happy with the Scribe Qtuatro reception is great... and I tested is as an emergency DVR in case my Nas needs maintenance and it just picked up providing LivetV and recording seamlessly.

You could try viewtopic.php?f=116&t=69564 as it should pick up all record engines in your network.
Ping me if it doesn't find the scribe.. Don't use current packages - best to get a ZIP of the repo right now.. Trying my best to get back to this and do a few fixes/etc.

It found the Scribe no problem at all ... I can work with that but do you know how I can get the actual file names ?

You can't - but why do you need them? You can't access the filesystem directly anyway.
