Just wondering if it would be trivial enough to compile a version of RECORD for Illumos-based OS? OmniOS, OpenIndiana, SmartOS, etc.
They make a mean file server.

Have you tried to run the linux executable in a LX (linux) zone? *Might* just work.

lxzones are complicated by the fact that I'm running OmniOS under ESXi, it complains whenever I reset it (which is almost never because it's so freaking stable) that the "processor" doesn't have vt-x required for virtualization.gtb wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2019 11:26 amHave you tried to run the linux executable in a LX (linux) zone? *Might* just work.
I'm only asking because there's a slight chance it might be a trivial undertaking to add another similar OS to the compile list. If not, probably more trouble that it's worth to use an lxzone because I have it working in FreeBSD using an NFS share using vmxnet3 between VMs.
Good idea for someone running it bare-metal though. Thanks
