How to use openmediavault NAS with hdhomerun DVR

Post by milosz » Sun May 26, 2019 4:57 am

I've created a share called /HDHomeRun on my openmediavault (OMV) nas, it's shared by both NFS and SMB services.

When I click the NAS Install on the HdHomeRun Setup / DVR tab, it does not see my openmediavault nas.

How do I get HdHomeRun to work with my openmediavault nas?

OMV is running on top of Debian, so this should work: viewtopic.php?f=126&t=65560

It may be best to do what NedS mentioned. For SD's installer to work, the NAS has to have upnp (dlna) enabled to be discovered.

But there are other issues that can pop up for that installer to work such as having /tmp mounted as noexec.
