Hi,
I've been using the QPKGs for sometime and have never had an issue.
Upgraded from the .26 to the new .28 and had a problem with DVR operation.
No new logs were generated after install and any recording that required a new folder didn't work.
The show would indicate it was recording but nothing would show up in the recording directory.
Shows that had an existing folder would record normally.
Dropped back to the .26 package and everything is working fine again.
I'm running a QNAP TS-453 Pro, with the latest firmware.
Just thought I'd report my experience.
Thanks for all the hard work on this, it's much appreciated.

make sure httpdusr has write permissions to your recordpath
future release will do this automatically since it is causing confusion.

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
rik -
I did a fresh install of the qpkg and had 2 issues that I had to resolve manually to get everything working. I am thinking since you're doing some fixing, maybe put on your list to address?
- The css would not generate due to permissions.
- all the paths assume CACHEDEV1. On my NAS it's actually CACHEDEV2
Other than that, all good! The controls work great now

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
Maybe a n00b question here, but I just deleted a recording that I'd like to undelete.
I didn't do it in Windows Explorer. If I had I think I might have had luck recovering it either using Windows or by logging in to my QNAP QTS manager and checking the trash bin there.
But because I did it within the HDHomeRun View app... is there any way that our setups (running the engine off the QNAP) has any sort of file recovery for that type of file deletion?

I'm having the same problem as above when I jumped from .31 to .32.
Shows that have already have a recording folder work fine, shows that need a folder to be created don't record.
Went back to .31 and everything works again.
Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
The initial problem of .26 to .28 was a permissions issue which was fixed in .31netjrb wrote: ↑Tue Apr 17, 2018 6:17 amHi,netjrb wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2018 7:38 pm Hi,

Am concerned you see same thing happening in moving from .31 to .32 - that would imply you still have a permissions issue somehow - but it should have been resolved in .31
Can you SSH to the NAS and look at the parent folder containing your record path..
e.g. ls -l /share/Recordings/
and also your RecordPath
e.g. ls -l /share/Recordings/HDHomeRunDVR/
TIA

Hi,
Thanks for the quick response.
See results below.
One difference between the issue this time and last.
This time log files get created, last time both log files and recording folders weren't created.
