Re: Unofficial Kodi HDHomeRun DVR PVR Client
Just wanted to thank you for this add on because we would not be able to watch tv right now without it. We just went through Hurricane Zeta last night and your client is working great while the hdhomerun has failed as we have no internet other than my phone. Thanks again!

Glad to have been of some (virtual) assistance! Sorry you had to bear the brunt of Zetafletchb wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 9:58 pm Just wanted to thank you for this add on because we would not be able to watch tv right now without it. Re: Unofficial Kodi HDHomeRun DVR PVR Client
I upgraded Kodi on my Win7 PC from Matrix Alpha 2 to Alpha 3 this morning. The PVR addon was flagged as incompatible and was disabled. I tried manually installing zuki.pvr.hdhomerundvr-windows-x64-matrix-3.3.3.7578.zip just to see what would happen and it threw an error.
The dependency on kodi.binary.instance.pvr version 7.0.1 could not be satisfied.
Back to Alpha 2.

It's done but Kodi crashes when you install it. It's fine afterward and seems completely unrelated to the PVR but I want to build a Debug version of Alpha 3 to be certain of that before posting it.

Re: Unofficial Kodi HDHomeRun DVR PVR Client
Updated for Matrix Alpha 3, but there is a Kodi bug that might cause you some problems installing it ... info under the link:
Version 3.3.3a for Matrix (2020.11.03)
Also, as I mentioned previously, there is no more raspbian-armhf build for Matrix. When Matrix moved to C++ 14, the legacy compiler for that platform isn't compatible anymore. You should be fine using the Linux ARMv7 build in it's place (linux-armhf), but older versions of Raspbian may become an issue. Please let me know if you run into problems on Raspbian and I'll see if I can get something set up that works.

No problem sir! Here is the Issue if anyone wants to track it (and watch me get scolded by Kodi for something; seems to always happen - lol)

Re: Unofficial Kodi HDHomeRun DVR PVR Client
This issue has been resolved by Team Kodi for the next Matrix release. howie-f is a rockstar; it was painful to watch how much effort needed to go into this one. He has my thanks and a sincere tip of the hat.djp952 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 11:46 am No problem sir! Nightlies after 11/7/2020 or so should be good moving forward...

I was following the progress on github. It was interesting to see how these things get worked out behind the scenes. Thank you and howie-f!

Re: Unofficial Kodi HDHomeRun DVR PVR Client
It's definitely a process. You certainly can't say they don't care about the Kodi code. With this one the instant I saw what was going on I was like "nope, not it". I knew it would cause a cascade of changes and be a hassle to push through and I would get frustrated. In fairness most of those folks are truly outstanding developers, and this is pro bono work for all of them. They come from all over the world too. I know if I had to comment on something in German or Russian it would definitely be terse, if at all coherent.
Re: Unofficial Kodi HDHomeRun DVR PVR Client
I'm now using this with Leia. The problem is that the recording file names are the show title - SXXEXX - Original airdate. This means things aren't scraping and getting into the library. Where can I control what the filename is and is there a way to make them .ts files rather than .mpg files since Kodi doesn't seem to like mpg files very much?

Re: Unofficial Kodi HDHomeRun DVR PVR Client
Hi! I'm not entirely sure what you're asking? This addon gets all of the recording information from the HDHomeRun RECORD (DVR) service, it doesn't do any scraping or folder searching or file naming on it's own.toricred wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 9:37 am I'm now using this with Leia. Are you trying to bring in non-HDHomeRun DVR recordings, or are you trying to control the file names generated by the HDHomeRun DVR?
Re: Unofficial Kodi HDHomeRun DVR PVR Client
I'm trying to bring in the recordings into Kodi. I'm using Ember Media Manager to do the renaming and scraping. My main concern is that the naming that HDHomerun does for the files doesn't seem to have enough information to get Ember the information it needs.
