I am running CoreELEC, Kodi 18 RC 2. It is missing some dependency, something about PVR file, but too fast to see any details.
Is there anything in the event log in the Kodi main settings screen? If it doesn't show anything useful try turning on notification logging in the event log settings and try installing it again.

I hoped Event Log would show you which dependencies it was missing. Maybe there's something useful in the Logfiles folder.

Might have to wait for djp952 on that one. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Yes, he will have to do his magic for it. I think now, that Kodi 18 has reached the RC stage, he may make the changes that are necessary.

Question about EPG

I'm using HDHomeRun DVR PVR Client version 1.3.7 on the Shield and I can't seem to display just the channel numbers. No matter what I do my EPG shows 2 sets of numbers.

Suggestions?

Hi Clark,
The issue is that CoreElec moved beyond Kodi PVR 5.10.3 when they added archive (catchup) support in the PVR. Their version of PVR is 5.10.4. I have a compiled version that *should* work for you if you are interested. I am not sure about how djp952 feels about me sharing the version here, someone let me know if safe to post link here.

I built it from the latest code available on GitHub and the file ended up being zuki.pvr.hdhomerundvr-linux-armhf-leia-1.3.8.6927 and it is working for me on CoreELEC (official): nightly_20181218 (S905.arm). https://relkai.coreelec.org

I did a new install of CoreELEC on one of my Amlogic S912 boxes, but this addon will not load. Tried this one first, as it should be the one that works, but no go. Said it is missing some files, don't remember what.

zuki.pvr.hdhomerundvr-linux-armhf-leia-1.3.7.6917

I even tried the other two, but obviously, they are not made for my devices.

zuki.pvr.hdhomerundvr-linux-armel-leia-1.3.7.6917

zuki.pvr.hdhomerundvr-linux-aarch64-leia-1.3.7.6917

Go to addons - my addons - pvr clients HdHomeRun DVR PVR Client - settings. Under general is an option to Prepend channel numbers to channel names. Turn that off.

After that you might need to clear data on the pvr to get it to show up correctly. Go to kodi settings, PVR & TV, under general click on clear data. WARNING - if you have multiple PVR clients and have entered client priorities then that will be reset as well. If you are only using HdHomeRun client then it is perfectly safe to clear data.

I'd guess that you have already changed the setting, you will need to clear data under PVR to see the changes.

I am a little confused timecutter. The link you posted to is the CoreELEC firmware itself, and not just his addon......... Are you saying that IF I install your version of the CoreELEC, then I can install his PVR app??
thanks

Went ahead and updated with your latest nightly, but still will not install because of missing dependencies.

sorry about that, no. I compiled a version of the Unofficial Kodi PVR Client for HDHomeRun DVR addon for coreelec 8.95.6 or higher. The link I posted was for the nightly versions of coreelec. In hindsight, it wasn't helpful to post the link for coreelec.

This is the link to download the version of the addon that should work on coreelec 8.95.6 or higher on Amlogic boxes.

Timecutter, perfect, downloaded, installed and working perfectly. Installed on my Mecool KM8 running the latest version of CoreELEC ( not your latest nightly, I installed that on my other box).

Thanks a bunch.

Totally works for me gang - thank you! This could become problematic if Kodi forks are incrementing the PVR API version, I don't see any corresponding 5.10.4 in the 'official' XBMC repo yet, or any Pull Requests for it -- at least not at this moment (I could be blind, of course). Ugh. Open Source is great, but moving targets are a serious PITA!!

Thanks for having our back timecutter, you rock!
