Tonight, I was prompted to do an update for the HDhomerun. I did it (it upgraded the firmware as well) and when I went back into Kodi (version 17.4) the guide data is all missing. I tried clearing the guide data with no success.

If I select a channel, it will play, just an empty guide. Thoughts?
Fixed it by uninstalling Kodi then reinstalling Kodi and the plugin. Not sure what happened but everything working again.

How is this add-on dealing with conflicts? for instance if I both tuners (extend) are recording and I try to go to a 3rd channel? I am currently using NextPVR and in this case the wheel turns for a while then just stops. I am looking for a more user friendly experience like a pop up giving the option to stop one of the recordings.

The HDHomeRun DVR does not support that and that is what this plugin uses as a backend. So the answer is no until the HDHomeRun DVR supports it.

Hoping someone can help. I am running Kodi 17.4 on Windows 10x64. I just installed this addon. When I click on record or add timer I get an error and for me to check the logs. In my log I have.

I believe this hasn't been tested with 17.4 so it might no work correctly. I know it definitely works in 17.3.

I set a one time recording the other night on my Raspberry Pi on 17.4.

The only problem I had was when launching a live TV channel from the guide. It just gave me a black screen. If I wait a second or two and skip back it starts to play normally. I disabled passthrough in the audio settings and haven't seen that problem since. I forgot about that until now.

billybob911- Are you a HDHomeRun DVR subscriber? If so, have you activated your account?

I keep forgetting about that ... you have to be a DVR Subscriber to set timers or record.... good to know it works thanks Ken.

Hi gang! Sorry I never mentioned I was going away -- back now and will catch up with 17.4 and the posts ASAP. I also responded to the timer constraint violation on the GitHub, it is most likely the backend not returning anything due to a subscription issue. I really need to add error messages for the timer stuff and not just return 'bad thing' back to Kodi.

I hope to catch up tonight.

PS - What happened to Android x86 Kodi 17.4? They seem to have omitted it this build, anyone know if they killed that off?

They seem to think we can run the ARM build on the Nexus?

I can't imagine it emulates ARM all that well, but I don't have one so perhaps it does! If that was the only x86 Android device that ran Kodi I suppose it makes sense. We can always hack our way in and install the .zip version. Kinda stinks for me for testing, the x86 Android build runs full speed in an emulator. sigh.

Here you guys go for 17.4 Android APKs ... no code changes, just a rebuild with the updated (ARM) APKs. Not tested, let me know if you run into problems.

Version 1.2.2a (Build 6454)
for Kodi 17.x "Krypton"
- Update Android APKs to Kodi version 17.4 (8/22/2017)

Android ARM Kodi APK: https://github.com/djp952/pvr.hdhomerun ... 2.6454.apk
Android ARM64 Kodi APK: https://github.com/djp952/pvr.hdhomerun ... 2.6454.apk

I'll leave the 17.3 x86 APK up as current for a while; maybe Kodi will change their mind on that (I doubt it)

I have the Android version of this software. If I install a vanilla newer version of Kodi, will it overwrite the zuki plugin?
Actually the regular Kodi or another fork/mod of Kodi will not install until you uninstall this one. The reason is because Android will see it as the same application, but it has been signed with a different key. It's the same thing trying to install this APK on top of the official one, won't work if the official one is still there. It's an annoying limitation in this case but Android does that to protect you, the intent is to prevent somebody from hacking up somebody else's APK and masquerading as that APK. Imagine the horror if somebody hacked Google Maps and somehow got people to install it? ouch!

Hey Michael (djp952),

I have a favor to ask, would you mind doing a build for Kodi 18 Linux x86_64.

I have been playing around with test builds and would like to try watching tv also.

The builds I have been using if helpful for you or if others want to try are the LibreELEC Testbuilds located here https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=298462
You bet! It looks like they updated the PVR API for Leia regardless so new builds will need to be generated. Will try to get on top of this during the remainder of the weekend!

My tuners may be out of date now, but I don't see any particular problems with the guide data. Has this issue resolved itself (apologies for being away for a while)? You may have to do a full Clear Data on the PVR to reset the whole Kodi database if something bad has happened. The good news there is that it's all really just a cache, you don't lose any data - just the time involved :)

I think it's frowned upon to post the steps to check the guide manually, if you are still having problems can you PM me? I can send you some steps you can take from a web browser to see if the guide data is working on the backend, and we could start to narrow it down from there.

edit: Didn't see your follow-up before I replied (doh). Glad it's working for you now, on the surface my best guess is that something went kaplooey with either Kodi's database or the PVR's database. Water under the bridge I guess!
