Re: Unofficial Kodi PVR Client for HDHomeRun DVR subscribers
Damn. But nice to know. How did I get my Favorites back, though?
Re: Unofficial Kodi PVR Client for HDHomeRun DVR subscribers
Where is that? I can't seem to find it.
Thanks

If we are talking about your ou HDHomerun favorite channels you’ve marked with a star in the HDHomerun web interface then the setting in Kodi is under:
Settings
PVR service
General
Then, within that screen the “clear data” item at the bottom of that screen.
Re: Unofficial Kodi PVR Client for HDHomeRun DVR subscribers
Thanks, Hardax, I did that and I also reloaded the guide, but still no Favorites. And, I am referring to those marked with a star in the HDHomeRun web interface.
What's next?
Re: Unofficial Kodi PVR Client for HDHomeRun DVR subscribers
And just to be sure that within what ever skin your using in Kodi you are making sure you are looking for the list views correct? When I go though my views I have All Channels - HD Channels - Favorite Channels etc. You definitely don't have that?jhford wrote: ↑Mon Jul 30, 2018 3:01 pmThanks, Hardax, I did that and I also reloaded the guide, but still no Favorites. Re: Unofficial Kodi PVR Client for HDHomeRun DVR subscribers
That was really helpful. I was unaware that I could do that in the Guide. It shows all my Favorites, which is good. But the main Kodi menu (left sidebar) has a Favorites item, which is what I inquired about, because, if I recall correctly, they appeared as icons in in the right panel. If I'm wrong, then the icons appeared in the right panel of the TV menu item. The Favorites right panel has the following message, "No favorites found. You can add any item from media views to this list by using the context menu." What and where are "media views"?Hardax wrote: ↑Tue Jul 31, 2018 11:00 amAnd just to be sure that within what ever skin your using in Kodi you are making sure you are looking for the list views correct? jhford,
Those are KODI favorites and if you totally wiped out KODi you will have to add items to the favorite section. You will need to add individually what you want... using the context menu. Did you have Kodi pointing to the HDHomeRun libraries before ?

Re: Unofficial Kodi PVR Client for HDHomeRun DVR subscribers
Sorry, but what is the "context menu" and where do I find it?
Also, I guess I had "Kodi pointing to the HDHomeRun libraries before" but I forgot how I did that.
Thanks

With a mouse, the context menu is usually accessible via a right-click. I was able to add a channel to the Kodi Favorites by right-clicking on a channel name in the "Channels" view of Kodi and selecting "Add to Favourites". Not sure how to get to the context menu with a keyboard, but if this is Windows and you have the special right-click key on the keyboard, that should be the same thing.

Re: Unofficial Kodi PVR Client for HDHomeRun DVR subscribers
So I've been taking another bona fide crack at implementing the Timeshifting bar UI element of Kodi, and I think I'm finally getting somewhere. In the screenshot below, the items circled in red are the items I believe are actually correct. Sadly the 8:00pm tomorrow end time isn't even close, but I'm not certain how to know when it should end if the stream is real-time (and therefore infinite):

For those that wanted the Kodi timeshifting bar enabled, if I have no reasonable way to set the end time correctly ("8:00PM" in above image) is the presence of the proper elapsed / overall time that Kodi generates based on the EPG (bottom line in above image: "14:03 / 34:00") sufficient? So far it appears to be accurate. The timeshift bar ("Timeshift 11:14:11 PM") does in fact seem to be 8 seconds into the future from the point where I started streaming the channel.

Re: Unofficial Kodi PVR Client for HDHomeRun DVR subscribers
OK. I figured it out. To oversimplify, Kodi is used as a sort of container for the functionality of this build. But Kodi still retains it's original functionality, such as its own Favorites. I thought the Favorites menu item referred to my HDHomeRun Favorites, but that was incorrect. The context menu can also be accessed with an Amazon Fire TV Stick's hamburger menu key on the right side of the remote.djp952 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 31, 2018 8:32 pmWith a mouse, the context menu is usually accessible via a right-click. Add to Favorites, i.e., Kodi Favorites, can be accessed by opening the context menu in the Channels panel. All my HDHomeRun Favorites are now in Kodi Favorites. Maybe this will help clear up the Favorites confusion for other Fire TV Stick users.
Thanks
