Is there way to close this plugin via JSON/http on kodi? I am trying to switch back and forth between this plugin and another using a script but have no idea how to exit this plugin beside pressing back and using the on screen exit menu.

No, the two ways to exit is the back/escape menu, and the "X" button on the 2nd page of sidebar menu.
What would a script like that normally request of an addon to exit?

Has there been any thought at giving the ability to save channel streams into super favorites? I have found that using the tvjunkie mod add-on does a better job with video quality and audio syncing than the HDHomerun pvr add-on does. I would love to be able to tie the streams from the tvjunkie add-on into a custom guide, and I think the easiest way to do that is placing those streams in super favorites. Any thoughts or other suggestions?
Super Favorites is one of the best add-on I have ever came across in KODI. It has definitely improved my KODI experience.

I'm a new user of the mod. I have to deinterlace CBS and NBC when watching via spmc on firetv. Is there a way the mod can be set to automatically change the deinterlace settings for those two or other interlaced stations while leaving the others untouched? Makes it easier for the family to not have to change the settings when channel surfing.

Also - is the extended guide only for DVR subscribers?

no the mod cant set video settings for individual channels. when viewing cbs or nbc, try opening the side/option bar, go to the 2nd page, and select the video settings (top icon) and set deinterlace video to auto. see if that works

and yes, the extended guide data is only available to dvr subscribers by silicondusts design

The last post in this thread is over a year old and the latest version of the mod I'm aware of (26) is older yet. I was using it on a Raspberry Pi, currently running Kodi 17.6. It worked well until I upgraded my HDHR4-2US's firmware to 20180817 from 20150826 to see what Premium TV looked like. After that, the mod won't change channels. It displays the last channel I've watched and the guide looks OK but when I select a different channel it says, "Failed to play channel. Maybe all tuners are in use?"

Has the mod reached end-of-life? Does it still work for others with current SD firmware? Is this a known problem? The official Kodi add-on works (and shows the PTV demos, which I don't expect the mod to do) but I like the mod's guide better.

11/1/2018 Edit: I just subscribed to Premium TV, which involved rescans and reboots. After I got it working, I tried TVJunkieMOD again. And now it works. I still don't know what caused the problem or what fixed it but it's all good again.

I updated the MOD

TVJunkieMOD v27:

** 2015.11.9 TVJunkieMODv27**
- Added layout fix for Kodi 18

Kodi 18 update (or it's default skin) affected the addon's guide layout.

If you're seeing a layout issue, switch to the version that works for your setup (either v26 or v27)

Thank you so much for maintaining this mod for so many years!

PS do you think when you edit the main post to add new versions you could put the date you added the version next to it in the future? The "last edited" date at the bottom is clearly wrong and I was worried there was no update after I upgraded kodi and the mod broke.
