A rescan is required today. KPHO (5.1) and KPNX (12.1) moved over to KASW ch27RF. KTVK (3.1) and KTAZ (39.1) were added to the KFPH ch35RF lineup.

is 27 up as I am back to the way it was before your trip there with no ATSC 3 signal despite a -30dBm signal strength.

Edit:
Though non ATSC 3, As I wrote that a few minutes ago, 12 on 18 was broadcasting 12.12 but now it includes all sub channels and 12.1

Seeing 27 now... not sure when it came on as I had a meeting that started around 2pm and was busy about an hour before that.

Now to check quality with 6 streams now being there instead of 4.

I just saw a commercial for channel 12 saying on Aug 8th they are "punching up the power" in prep for the Olympics. It said you need to "tune up your TV" by re-scanning for channels
Are we going to get some Olympics in 4K or just a channel re-map ?

That "punching up the power" message was referring to their move from a 39 kW signal on VHF 12 to a 1000 kW signal on UHF 18.

No one is having the olympics 4K in OTA since there's not enough bandwidth to do 4K when the ATSC 3.0 lighthouses have to be shared between 3-6 HD stations for the next few years. The 4K olympic coverage will be limited to cable/sat/OTT only. Not to mention none of the NBC O&O's will have an ATSC 3.0 presence by then, so NBC isn't going to provide something that none of their own stations can show.

Are captions implemented yet? I'm not seeing them on any of the atsc3 channels I've tried.

I don't believe SD's app implements them yet... vlc reports them as there and work as expected (helpful when vkc doesn't support the audio), channels also works with both captions and audio.

I did try VLC and didn't see captions, I have a recording from channel 5 a few weeks ago and it does show the captions in VLC.

Prior to yesterday I thought they all had them... I know today at least the ones on 35 still have them (including 3.1 (103.1 from hdhr)) but at least most (if not all) on 27 don't have those caption streams today at least in the ts the hdhomerun makes.

Just so you know, all of the stations on RF27 are sending out captions. At least according to my LG, Sony, & Sammy TV's.

I'm out of range of rf35 at the moment so I can't compare and hdhr is my only atsc3 tuner. Pretty moot for me anyway since the hdhr software doesn't work with them yet.

Any chance you could take a photo of the 'stats for nerds' box for YouTube TV 4k? https://support.google.com/youtubetv/an ... 6571?hl=en

If they're airing the NBA Finals in 4K for those with the YouTube TV 4K Addon, it must be for those YouTube TV subscribers with the 4K add on in the Phoenix market, because no one on avsforum.com with the YouTube TV 4K add on seems to be able to stream it.
