I wish we had someone in Dallas who would actually work with people to identify issues. The only contact I have here won't even acknowledge that the video they're broadcasting is only at ~30fps even though it's exceedingly obvious that it's not running full rate when you put the ATSC 3 and ATSC 1 broadcasts side by side during any kind of sporting event.

Found out the hard way that Roku can’t output sound on ATSC 3.0 channels.
Are you having trouble with 115.1. I'm getting what you are plus 115.1

Yep. No 115.1

Is there something unique about this channel?

Had no issues with 27 all weekend but today (Monday) things are back to under 10dB snr.

My reason for reporting it is that perhaps they can see a pattern of when it works vs not such as perhaps it works when shaw butte is/isn't in use or other changes. Of course weather can always be a factor and we had overcast clouds/rain this past weekend rather than the normally clear skies.

35 is working pretty well other than still being low but I can live with that.

Edit Wed 3/17 : 27 was working again today. Noticed the plp's aren't showing all channel names like it used to with "no data" on the channels not on that plp... I had just updated windows beta to update servio so it could have been a change there but didn't think so.

Is there a reason I can't see any Phoenix ATSC 3.0 channels in the HDHR Windows 10 app, but I can see them (though, not hear them due to AC-4) in the HDHR Windows Configuration app?

If they are available there, the scan should pick them up. Keep in mind the scan adds 100 to the virtual channel number (though config also reports it as that number) so they will be in the 100's. Also note that things have been known to change (sometimes multiple times a day) and the device may have stale tuning parameters and needs a scan run to refresh such and that when you tune a channel with config it gets the latest parameters.

The other thing is typically when you first tune an atsc 3.0 channel, the app will prompt you to install codecs from the windows store. Older machines may not be able to get these to work properly so you may wish to state your system specs. Though I wouldn't suggest going out and purchasing them, some have also needed the paid Dolby license for atmos/ac-4

Long time Phoenix HDHR user but just got the ATSC 3.0 capable one today. I am seeing the RF27 channels but not the RF35. Is it just me? I live just a few miles from the South Mountain towers, easily line of sight.

Thanks!

Didn't notice any problems the day you mentioned such even up until yesterday.

Just now I checked and it appears the pbs stations are gone ((10)8.1 and (10)8.4 no longer show in config_gui) hopefully bobchase is just "playing" again.

Both 27 and 35 have been working for me since I last reported success on 3/17 (prior to that I sometimes appeared to be in a null zone of 27 most likely because of use of shaw butte) 35's strength isn't that great for me (it's about half of almost anything else coming from south mountain) but the quality is high enough for me to get despite the low strength.

PBS will be gone for a while until they get some licensing issues resolved.

Basically, the issue is that KAET's presence on KFPH-CD's lighthouse was part of an experimental STA that expired back in April 2020, and they never made the required Next Gen filing with the FCC when KFPH's ATSC 3.0 operation became officially licensed in March 2020 instead of experimental. So the PBS Kids simulcast was no longer considered part of KAET's license in the FCC's eyes after that STA expired, which would have made KFPH responsible for any regulatory/compliance issues for it. The new filing they made today indicates that they plan to rejoin on 5/1.

Luckily PBS Kids is all E/I programming, so at no point KFPH would have been considered under the quota for technically having an additional subchannel for the past year, and since it's a non-com service the hourly commercial limits wouldn't have been an issue either. (It also helps that Children's television filings are now annual instead of quarterly) The lack of a KFPH-CD top of the hour station ID on the feed might have been an issue though.

Thanks to everyone that answered my question. I did a rescan again and it found those channels but the signal is still weak. Wonder if I could be getting some cell phone frequency interference? I'll try a filter.
