20210104 - Skip Forward/Back freezes video - Nvidia Shield & Android

Firmware and apps for Shield & Android - 20210104

For both my 2019 Nvidia Shield and my Samsung Note 9 using the skip back or skip forward transport controls freezes the video. You have to change channels to get it work again. Pausing then playing works as expected.

The transport controls work as expected on my PC and Xbox One. New firmware and apps resolves all the other major issues for me except Seattle CH24 audio still being mushed into the front left channel and Ch31 defaulting to SAP.

Can you please do a quick format=dbg capture of the problem channel on CH24...

Replace hdhomerun with the device ID if you have more than one device.
Replace 102.1 with the virtual channel.

Ch24 is v104 ABC and v107 CBS. I added newer samples up in this folder. For some reason these weren't saving with a .mpeg file extension as it was before and I can't play the Virtual channel recordings even after fixing the extensions. Not sure if this is related to the firmware change or just some other weirdness. The samples in the 12-26 folder can be used as well.

EDIT: Issue was "format=dbg". When I removed that piece the virtual channels saved with .mpeg extension and were able to be played directly. I left the 'dbg' virtual and physical channels up in the folder incase that is what you want.
Also, regarding the broadcast, the information I have from one of the stations managers:
"As far as the audio goes, we are mapping LtRt to group 1 pair 1 for all our programs. We have a plan to put a more robust 5.1 surround in place, but that will be a few months. There is no reason you should get only one side as total and one side as surround. It may be decoding incorrectly or there may be another remapping issue when KUNS does the re-wrapping. "

On Sony Android TV, the new app records and save files with mpg extension, just as before. Capturing segments via http using a browser saves with mpeg extension. Otherwise the Android app on the TV exhibit the same problem as the Shield when trying to rewind or fast forward.

The .mpeg recording issue had to do with the manual command to capture a clip, not the DVR function. I edited my comment above to clarify what the issue was.
Good to know touching ff/rw on the tv does the same thing as I assume it means all android devices have the issue since it means a fix might fix it for all the different devices.
