There are 2 channels in Phoenix which will display a few frames and stall due to a timing issue in the transmission. We will try to reach out to the broadcaster tomorrow.

I just tried the mac client and have the same issue. If its a broadcast issue then it makes sense it would be across multiple platforms. I posted the logs in the forum with a google drive read only link, if you need them in a PM just enable my profile for that and let me know and I will send them.

In RDU market... Here is what I have tested with the new fw and the latest first-party SD sw releases:

• macOS (10.15.7) – all HEVC channels decode video without issue; no audio decode on any channel

• Shield (8.2.1) – all HEVC channels decode video, but switching between channels sometimes causes a channel to not be tuned, and a refresh is required; no audio decode on any channel

• Xbox One (10.0.19041.5481) – all HEVC channels decode video without issue; audio decodes on each channel as well, however only channels on the 527MHz band decode with proper down-mixed audio; channels on 473MHz band decode only as mono

• Roku Ultra (9.4.0 • build 4200-46) – all HEVC channels with programming guide info decode video without issue; HEVC channels without programming guide info (channels on 527MHz frequency) locks the app and a complete restart of the app is required; no audio decode on any channel

• Fire TV 4K (5.2.6.9) – No channel decodes

• Windows 10 (19041.685) – all HEVC channels decode video without issue; audio decodes on each channel as well, however only channels on the 527MHz band decode with proper down-mixed audio (new sw has fixed previous issue whereby the down-mixing fluctuated frequently); channels on 473MHz band decode only as mono

Newbie here so I'm taking a queue from your comment as to what is helpful. Tested using the hdhomerun Windows 10 client and I updated firmware to the release with yesterdays date.

Location Utah. Above 2.1 KUTV has audio in left channel but a little quiet, very little volume in right channel. Sounds hollow and I think there is an audio sync issue. 4.1 KTVX sounds identical with the same sync issue. Tuning to 13.1 KSTU-HD sounds correct and louder with no sync issue. They were doing the governor inauguration ceremony so it was easy to compare channels as they all broadcast it live. I'll have to check the audio sync on a non-live event.

Did firmware update, and on Iphone 11 Pro, ATSC 3.0 broadcasting with 1 PLP (QAM64), the video with 1080i, 720p, and 1080p are displayed correctly, but the audio is not in sync, needs about 200 ms additional delay on all.

Here in Mobile, AL, we have RF27 transmitting 3 virtual ATSC 3.0 broadcasts with 2 PLPs that display "no data" on 2 of the 3 channels. Before the firmware update, if I check both PLP boxes (PLP0 and PLP1), then click on "view", VLC would open and I would get the video, but no audio (obviously). The 3rd virtual channel that only needs PLP0 checked would also stream to VLC.

After the firmware update, tuning to one of the virtual channel on RF27 that requires both PLPs, the tuner will go to the channel, initially PLP0 (QAM16) checked for 1 second, then switch to PLP1 (QAM256). The "no data" disappear but no data is sent to display, after 15 seconds it tries PLP0 again, and reverts back immediately to PLP1, it repeats the back and forth 1 more time before the timeout error is display. At no time does it check both PLPs, which is what is needed. Also, the one virtual channel that worked with just PLP0 checked off will timeout as well, doing the same back and forth of PLPs, but reversing which PLP is primary.

Edit: One more note. On the Roku Ultra 4800, 1080i HEVC still a problem. Video is garbled, and as noted before by someone else, no audio, although AC-4 is supported.

The new updates seem to have fixed my audio on ATSC 3.0 channels on the iPad Pro and Chromecast with Google TV, and I can now tune the ATSC 1.0 channels as a fallback option (since the 3.0 channels were moved to the 100s). However, the audio does seem to be a tad out of sync, and doesn’t work well at all when using the “HDHomeRun Input” option in Google’s Live Channels app.

I am also still having a strange issue with the Chromecast on two particular ATSC 3.0 channels - WXYZ and WMYD in Detroit. On these two channels, the video is very laggy with a poor frame rate (though audio seems fine). This does not happen on my iPad Pro (the other device I have that supports AC4 audio), and does not happen on the other ATSC 3.0 channels (though they have the audio sync issue mentioned above).

Finally, I am also seeing intermittent “no data” when trying to tune channels (similar to one of the posts above), though I am not sure how to consistently reproduce it. It does seem like my.hdhomerun.com shows no device whenever that happens, which is another intermittent issue I’m having (usually fixed by starting the app on a device and pressing “Retry” when it says no device found)..

Fixed on my end as well! One thing I did notice with the firmware upgrade. Pre-upgrade the HEVC channels showed "HEVC HD" and now the 100+ mapped channel numbers just show "HEVC". Not a huge deal but it makes Channels DVR think that they are not HD and wont show in the guide when filtered. Like i said, not a big deal but i thought I would mention.

I had kind of mentioned that in another thread but with phoenix channels so screwy at the time I wasn't sure if it was just my scan results but I swear the HD indicator was there last week. Also audio codec isn't listed in scan results in the lineup.json (those were not present before/ever for ac4 from what I remember unlike the HD indicator was).

I am in the Portland market and live about 25 miles west of the antenna farm. No line of sight to any towers, definitely in a fringe reception area. Just did a rescan and got 62 channels.

Installed latest firmware, and updated to today's Android app on Sony X900H. Can now view all HEVC channels, including the ones with 2 PLPs. However, AC-4 audio is still missing on all.

Not for Seattle. I am having inconsistent results with 20210104 picking up the 3 PLP Ch24 (had to scan channels form my quatro then go back to the 4k for them to show up again) despite it being 100% strength. But every other channel is showing up on every attempt.
