I am recording the Outback Bowl using the HDHomeRun DVR and Emby DVR running on the same Android device (Beelink GS King X). One of the recordings is using the Quatro, and the other recordings is using one of the HEVC tuners of the Quatro 4k. However, I can't tell which recording device is using which tuner, since both DVR are running on the same machine so they have the same local IP address..........
Anyway to determine which device is using which tuner? I know you are working on the ability to control how to access the 4k tuners separately .....

You can see the IP address of what is using the channel by going into the tuner's web page http://my.hdhomerun.com and then click on the individual tuners till you see which is streaming and what the IP is of what it is streaming to (and of course you need to look at your router to see what the IP of the devices are).

That is the problem, both DVRs are running on the same device, so they have the same IP address... One DVR is recording using the Quatro, the other DVR is using the 4k tuner on the Connect 4k......... So, both have the same IP address.
I posted a link to imgr to show what I am referring to (3 screen grabs).

Sorry, I obviously skimmed over the Q and missed the point. I don't use either DVR so don't know if the software might tell you. But assume both can see both tuners, when I had both 1.0 and the 3.0 quattro's hooked up, I found that the HDHR player was defaulting to the ATSC 1.0 tuner, perhaps because it was the first in the Device Input list. I had to unplug the 1.0 tuner to ensure it was always going to the 3.0. So if I had to gamble I'd say the HDHR is using the 1.0 tuner for the recording, especially if it was started first. But I don't know of way to say for sure.

I none of my Extend tuners were being used, and only the 3.0 tuner was being use on the Connect 4k, leaving the other 3 tuners, including both the 1.0 tuners unused.

In your pictures you show one of your 1.0 tuners on your quatro being used and one of your 3.0 tuners being used on the 4k. Your trying to figure out which one emby's dvr is using vs which one HDHR's drv is using correct?

Also for further clarification, I was incorrectly referring to my new 4k tuner as 3.0 quatro but I should have written Connect 4k. So to be more accurate, in my testing the HDHR app was defaulting to the 1.0 channels on my Connect Quatro and I had to unplug that to get it to use the atsc 3.0 tuners on my Connect 4k. So if it were my system I would assume the HDHR DVR is the one defaulting the to the quatro and your emby dvr is using the the 4k. But again, it is just a guess given my anecdotal experience.

You may be correct.. Will be doing more testing. Also, as I recalled, when I first started testing the 4k channels, I disconnected all my hardware devices EXCEPT the Connect 4k and the playback always used the NON 4k tuners. HOWEVER, once my 2.1 HEVC channel used the 4k tuner, it used that tuner as a default everytime. In other words, station 2.1 REMEMBERED that specific tuner and always used that tuner, no matter how many other NON 4k tuners were available. That was very strange. Also, when recording the game, that channel 7.1 grabbed the 4k channel even though there were other NON 4k tuners available.........

Hi y'all - sorry if I missed something obvious. How do I install the latest firmware? My current install says the firmware is up-to-date and I don't see an option to manually install an update (if one exists).

Thanks!

It doesn't appear to have been released yet.

Firmware update has been released:
https://www.silicondust.com/support/downloads/

Please run a channel scan after upgrading the firmware if you have ATSC 3.0 channels.

Firmware Version 20210103 is now available.
From your browser goto my.hdhomerun.com
Your should see a red x before Version number.
Click on the red x and it will ask if you want to update, click yes
It took me a few tries before it worked and now the HEVC channels show up after you do a channel update, at the bottom of the list.
Channel 4.1 will show up as 104.1
Also get the HDHomerun app update. It is now version 20210102.

Good point - if you power cycle your HDHomeRun then go to http://my.hdhomerun.com/ you can install the latest firmware from there. Then run a channel scan.

So my device took the firmware update and I discovered 3 more HEVC stations than I did with the old firmware and they were mapped to 1XX.1.
That part is good but now I cant tune anything at all with the HDHomerun app. They play for a quick second and then freeze. I tried this on the Android app as well as the firestick app. I also tried my channels DVR and it had the same behavior. Am I missing something?

DVR can take up to 2 hours before it realizes channel changes on it's own unless rebooted (poking it may also do it... easiest way to do that is to schedule a recording, but don't be too surprised if it needs a reboot or up to 2 hours as poking doesn't always seem to work but I have had enough success lately enough to say it probably "should" work)

Edit: by the way, I also was seeing such requests in DVR log but didn't get anything until nearly everything was rebooted.

We have a new release for Android and FireTV pending release tomorrow.

If you can, an interesting test would be to try the latest app for Windows 10, XBox One, Apple TV (4K needed for sound), iOS, or Mac (sound will depend on which model of iOS device or Mac).
