Not of a recent official build at least. This utility used to be part of the HDHomeRun TECH series install for macOS some years ago, but SD hasn't been able to properly build the latest versions for awhile now due to a change on Apple's architecture with Mojave/Catalina. There is likely too little market demand to resolve this either. I know there is a macPort project that is attempting to make this possible, but I don't think the project maintainer has reached success just yet.

That PLP0 looks to be very robust. The HDHomeRun utility doesn't provide the full set of parameters, but using default parameters along with the QPSK modulation and 7/15 FEC implies a minimum SNR of something like 2 dB, but with a capacity of something like 5 Mbps total. PLP1 is more standard.

Looks like 14 has just gone down... From early this morning:

Now:

I hadn't previously noted any daytime signal issues, so I don't think it is related to my setup/location (Five Points).

This is interesting. I am in North Raleigh. I have never seen this channel down even though i have looked every time i see a post about the signal being down. I have looked at rf 14 several times today between 930 am and now, up every time. Curious.

I have a very weak signal in West Cary and am getting under 1mb bit rate. What bitrates are you seeing?

Are you using HDHomeRun Config GUI to determine bitrate? or something else? If i use config gui, i see a bitrate that fluctuates somewhat and varies from channel to channel with hd channels like 17.1 being somewhere around 5.0 5.5 Mb/s.. if you are talking about the new wral/wraz channals on rf 23 i get between 6-8 Mb/s on 5.1, but i think that is a 1080p channel so i am sure it require higher bitrate then 17.1

rf 14 has a signal strength of 100%
rf 23 has a signal strength of around 85%

but i don't know how useful signal strength number are.

I'm using my.hdhomerun.com, tuning to the channel then clicking tuner status.

Tuner 0 Status
Virtual Channel 5.12 WRAL*
Frequency 527.000 MHz
Program Number 44
Modulation Lock atsc3
Signal Strength 53%
Signal Quality 60%
Symbol Quality 100%
Streaming Rate 1.379 Mbps

From what I understand, this is the amazing thing about ATSC 3.0 is that it lowers the bitrate when the signal is weak. Thats my guess anyways. I would post pictures but dont have an image service setup.

Looks like it may be either buggy fw or failing hw. After performing a power cycle on the unit, rf14 came back. I knew something was up when my other 4k unit was not having this issue, although that unit is just the standard version, and not the DEV fw that is on this unit, so difficult to determine exactly.

Channel 5.12 is sd so around 1-1.5 is a decent bitrate. you should get substantially higher bitrates on 5.1:

Tuner 0 Status
Virtual Channel 5.1 WRAL**
Frequency 527.000 MHz
Program Number 10
Modulation Lock atsc3
Signal Strength 85%
Signal Quality 100%
Symbol Quality 100%
Streaming Rate 7.875 Mbps

Virtual Channel 5.12 WRAL*
Frequency 527.000 MHz
Program Number 44
Modulation Lock atsc3
Signal Strength 85%
Signal Quality 100%
Symbol Quality 100%
Streaming Rate 1.579 Mbps

the only problem is you might not be able to tune 5.1 on rf 23 (atsc 3.0) with just a channel scan and running the hdhomerun viewer because it conflicts with the same virtual channel on rf 17. i tuned it with "HDHomeRun Config GUI" and viewed it in VLC. I think they may address this with new firmware as has been indicated in other posts.

Oh wow. So the 5.12 was not the 1080p feed? You're correct. It didn't show up in Channels or HD Homerun app. I lost the signal late last night, so I'm going to move some things around to get it back. I don't know how to get the GUI app. I have a Mac and iPad Pro.

Looks like WRAZ is live on 50.2 but I can't see it. When is Silicon Dust going to address this? Can you post the details for WRAZ like you did on the others? Do you have DEV firmware to run the GUI?

sure, here you go:

Virtual Channel 50.2 WRAZ*
Frequency 527.000 MHz
Program Number 46
Modulation Lock atsc3
Signal Strength 85%
Signal Quality 100%
Symbol Quality 100%

50.2 is an SD channel.

50.1 on rf 23 is 1080p here is the info on that one:

Virtual Channel 50.1 WRAZ**
Frequency 527.000 MHz
Program Number 10
Modulation Lock atsc3
Signal Strength 83%
Signal Quality 100%
Symbol Quality 100%

Thank you. So do you have to have DEV firmware to view the GUI? I'm thrilled they are giving more BW to WRAZ.

If you mean the HDHomeRun Setup utility, no, you don't need a dev model, but you do need Windows. The Mac version no longer works in Mac OS.
