ATSC 1.0 vs 3.0 channels
We are working on a improvements so the channel list on the device and in our apps show both the ATSC 1.0 and 3.0 channels with the same virtual channel number.
Missing and no-data ATSC 3.0 channels
We expect to release a firmware update this week to address this issue.
Apps
We have app releases planned for Apple TV, Android, and FireTV.

This is awesome news ! Thanks for all the hard work you guys are doing!
Re: 8 Nov 2020
Will this address AC4 audio support?
Re: 8 Nov 2020
Audio support varies by platform and client device.
One of key improvements in the next Android release is supporting audio on the 1st gen Nvidia Shield when used with an Atmos system (TV, sound bar, or home theater system).

Re: 8 Nov 2020
Atmos does not mean AC-4 support though so I'm confused by this comment. Atmos is just metadata and an (optional) piece of the codec that is also present in other codecs. My 2017 receiver supports Atmos but never states that it supports AC-4. Are we sure every device that advertises Atmos support means it also supports AC-4?
Thank you for the work on supporting duplicate 1.0/3.0 virtual channels.

Re: 8 Nov 2020
Just mentioning this here in case it hasn't been mentioned elsewhere (my apologies if it has). Closed captioning doesn't appear to be working for the ATCS 3.0 stations.
Re: 8 Nov 2020
I'm excited to give this a try. Currently the shield results in no audio and the video works sometimes, but glitches in and out.
Re: 8 Nov 2020
It seems to me that it could be helpful if we had a list of devices and companies where AC-4 support isn't working yet, with links to support forums or bug trackers where we could express support for this. Does anyone want to try and take that on?
Re: 8 Nov 2020
We plan on putting something together once our developers have a better idea of what options we have.
Re: 8 Nov 2020
I’ve noticed that the pitch of the voices on the ATSC 3.0 channels runs higher for voices than ATSC 1.0 channels on the Xbox app. I don’t think the audio is quite accurate yet but it works.
Also in the Pittsburgh implementation there is only one channel that outputs the audio correctly. The other two available output heavily in the left front speaker. Any chance we will get a fix for that and the pausing of video on all. ATSC 3.0 channels?

Just got the 11/13 HDHR app update on my 2019 Shield TV Pro and I've got no sound and the video is unwatchable. Am I correct in assuming the update you're mentioning applies to only the 2015 Shield TV? And if so, I'm curious what makes the first Shield special lol
Re: 8 Nov 2020
I have a recent Shield TV Pro (purchased in May). On ATSC3.0 channels its video is fine but I don't have any sound either. In settings HDHR identifies itself as Version 20201030 (App)/ 2020113d (UI) (beta). Is that the latest or is more in the pipeline?swmarks wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 6:51 pmJust got the 11/13 HDHR app update on my 2019 Shield TV Pro and I've got no sound and the video is unwatchable. I'm a Plex and Roku Ultra user, they could use some love too....

So far, ATSC3 in Dallas is very sketchy...
Thanks,

I use the app on my TCL Roku TV so, I second the request for an upgrade to the app for Roku.
