Thanks for the test captures... they confirmed the broadcaster is incorrectly setting the lls flag on PLP 1.

I will try to reach out to the station.

An update since last post. Sometime around this past Monday or Tuesday, I am unable to receive packets from any of physical channel 27 stations. Where previously I was able to view video from WFGX with VLC, now I receive nothing. The same is true with the other 2 stations on 27, WKRG and WFNA, even when I check off the 2 PLP boxes like I had to do before. HDHomeRun_config shows strong signals and the same PLP info. It is just not receiving or decoding packet information.

Firmware 20201030 brought back the 3 stations on physical channel 27 (aside from the PLP issue). Scanning brought back WFGX, and I can view the other stations on 27 with the PLPs checked.

Thanks for your posts NTC. I recently saw Mobile/Pensacola go live. I was thinking about getting it for a friend in P'cola. I'm in Mobile. I realize nothing is perfect starting off. What do you think of the HDHomeRun QUATRO 4K for ATSC 3.0? Too much trouble? My friend is not very tech-savvy, so I'm wondering if I should wait. I assume you are not having any problems with the ATSC 1.0 channels. Is the quality good for what you can receive in 4K?

Thanks!!! :D

It wasn't trouble at all for me since I've owned various HDHomeRun tuners since 2009. For someone who is not tech savy, I would not recommend any "early adopter" electronics, which this 4K model is definitely in that category. Right now I see no difference in picture quality compared to their ATSC 1.0 signal because they're either 1080i or less resolution. I got this tuner because I'm hoping that in January CBS will announce the Super Bowl to be simulcast in 4K, where available.
