The video/audio format seems to be H264/AAC-PS which is odd.

I was able to play this channel back in early October but something changed later in October.
Not sure if the HDHR firmware or the broadcaster is preventing me from viewing the channel or downloading video.

Added support for repacking h264 video and AAC-PS audio. Channel from the test capture now plays ok.

Note that this isn't part of ATSC 3.0 - the station shouldn't be broadcasting h264 video.

New firmware works for me!
Just tested it with an iPad and I was able to play 134.1 and 134.2

Both channels are the same; BYU TV.
Family shows, religion, and BYU sports.
AFAIK, these are the only free to view ATSC3 broadcasts in Boise at this time.

That is certainly strange all around. From why they would have that channel taking up bandwidth (and 2x bandwidth as it broadcasting on both channels), why it is AVC, and why it isn't encrypted like the rest of the content. I can only guess it is either some paid deal or the owner is a BYU freak.

Broadcasters are required to carry at least one service in unencrypted format because the airwaves belong to the public and all that. BYUTV is a reasonable choice because Boise is close enough to Utah to have a relatively sizable Mormon population, BYUTV is available on free-to-air satellite (i.e. the OTA station can just pull it from the satellite without needing any special equipment), and both sides are probably happy to have it on the air with no compensation exchanged - BYUTV gets (limited) exposure in a market where they wouldn't otherwise have any, and Cocola gets something that meets their obligation without costing them anything and without involving a network that might complain about the limited viewership and try to find a better home.

My iPad Pro, 3rd generation, will get sound but still no picture. Am I doing something wrong, or will this model of iPad Pro not work with ATSC 3.0?

Keep in mind that for this thread ATSC 3.0 isn't "standard" and a firmware upgrade was required to even handle h.264/aac so the device can output a proper ts and so these unencrypted stations "anything" can handle.

Must be the difference in our local signals. For me, still no picture.

You need the 20210122 app release for iOS. This release is currently being reviewed by Apple and should be available to install shortly.
