I can't say there was a direct correlation between the most recent firmware and the loss of all the channels. I installed the new firmware last Friday, but I don't think I lost any channels until Sunday. I remember because I was hoping the new firmware would resolve the issues with no audio or stuttering audio, and I was able to get video and determine that the audio still didn't work.

This was definitely a change in the broadcast - the HDHomeRun firmware has always required fileTemplate to be present.

After more research it looks like the broadcast is sending "NRT Entity Mode" rather than "NRT File Mode". It seems reasonable for Entity Mode not to specify fileTemplate as long as it sends a Content-Location (which it is sending).

I didn't lose any channels until Monday -- I was able to watch Sunday night football via NBC / ATSC 3.0. I remember because Nick asked for some info related to a "freeze" I was experiencing and I told him "after the game".

I lost them before upgrading firmware. When I came home from work and noticed they were gone, I saw the firmware available for install and thought it may resolve the issue.

8.1, 10.1, and 12.1 are now playing in our test environment. The fix is in QA now.

The audio track for 49.1 seems to not be in the broadcast which results in the HDHomeRun not streaming data as the audio data is considered critical.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for the update. Are you also looking at 2.1, 6.1, and 32.1? They were also previously available via ATSC 3.0 and no longer show up / tune.

Here's a comprehensive look at Portland stations as seen from my home in Tigard.

Looks like the other 3 ATSC3 stations (darcilicious is asking about) are on Physical 33.

10 8VSB 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4
11 8VSB (1) 17.1, 27.1, 37.1, 3.1
12 8VSB 12.1, 12,2, 12.3, 12.4, 49.1, 49.3
21 8VSB (2)
22 8VSB 22.1, 22.2, 22.3, 22.4, 22.5, 22.6, 22.7
23 8VSB (3) 8.10, 8.20, 8.30, 49.20, 49.40
24 8VSB 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 32.1
25 8VSB 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 32.2, 32.3, 32.4
26 8VSB (4) 26.1, 26.2, 26.3, 26.4
30 ATSC3 49.1, 12.1, 8.1, 10.1
32 8VSB 24.1, 24.2, 24.3, 24.4, 24.5
33 ATSC3 2.1, 6.1, 32.1
34 8VSB (5) 47.1, 47.2, 47.3, 3.1
Notes
  1. Phy 11 - My 2-ch CONNECT lists Signal Str 87%, Signal Quality 56%, Symbol Quality 100%.
My 4-ch QUATRO CONNECT 4K lists Signal Str 90%, Signal Quality 55%, Symbol Quality 0%.
I am unable to tune these stations on the QUATRO 4K, it won't list them. See also Note 5 (below).
  2. Phy 21 - Signal on this channel but no program reported.
  3. Phy 23 - Duplicate of Channel 8 with 0's tacked onto the end of virtual channel numbers.
  4. Phy 26 - Signal Strength 65%, Signal Quality 67%, Symbol Quality 100%.
  5. Phy 34 - Provides a copy of 3.1 that the QUATRO 4K should theoretically be able to tune, but channel is still not listed.

I installed new firmware.
Half of the ATSC 3.0 channels are missing: RF33
which holds: 2.1, 6.1
EDIT:
In fact using HDHomeRun_config_gui tool,
selecting channel RF33 is showing up as 'auto:33' and NOT ATSC 3:30
which is where 2.1, 6.1 is expected.
Signal strength on RF33 is 44%, and RF30 is 83%

As expected, 8.1, 10.1, and 12.1 and 49.1 show up as HEVC when scanning with the new firmware.

As reported, the remaining channels (on RF 33) are not showing up (2.1, 6.1, and 32.1) after rescanning.

My QUATRO 4K is not letting me upgrade.

- On the my.hdhomerun.com page, Version 20201023 has a red X to the left.
- I click on the version link.
- Under "Firmware Upgrade" it says "Up to date"

Unplug the 4K (from power), wait a second or two and then plug it back in and see if that helps.
