I was reading this article: https://broadbandnow.com/report/sinclair-next-gen-tv, and wondered if there are any privacy concerns (now or future) that I may need to address when using the HDHR ATSC 3.0? My impression is that the HDHR ATSC 3.0 is receive only, and will never support any of the IP-based two-way communication.
However, Sinclair Broadcasting is a corporation with questionable business practices (fortunately, not in the Phoenix area - yet), and I certainly would never want them to have any access to any of my data.

It is expected the app eventually support some advanced features of ATSC 3.0... At the very least I would expect some form of the broadcaster to get your ip address with some of them (eventually).
At this stage it's hard to say what real world examples might exist for ATSC 3.0 privacy concerns, but know that Silicondust regards customer privacy to be highly important, and will try to do whatever we can, within our power, to keep the customer in full control of their private information when it comes to these parties (broadcasters or anyone else).
