BYU added.
Can you provide the program numbers and labels that each of these is using, by any chance?

@Trip
28.1 is BYU TV with a Short Name of BYUKGRY There is also a 100.1 being broadcast as "Insight" and has DRM enabled that both LG and Sony cannot decode. I can hear audio on 28.1 with VLC, so they are not using AC4 for their audio.

19.1 is also BYU TV with a Short Name of BYUKGRX. I cannot decode this station at my house but we can receive it over at Univision. They are also broadcasting two DRM channels, 100.141 with a short name of "NFL" and 100.142 with a short name of "Hallmark". I'll look at the Samsung the next time I'm over at Univision to see if that TV can receive their DRM.

I'll pop some screenshots up on the AVS forum's Phoenix OTA section for you.

by the way, the HDHomeRun will continue to add 100 to those ATSC3 virtual channels so 100.141 would be 200.141 with the HDHomeRun

Not getting 28 well, wondering if it is related to 27 being so strong and/or if I should try playing with antenna again. (for me 27 is at -8dBm)

I believe the audio codec for BYU may be AAC as it shows up as ADTS in VLC... windows hdhomerun app didn't give me audio (VLC does) (Edit- FALSE ALARM!!! somehow the windows app was muted, though the mixer stated it was at full volume), haven't tried shield but chromecast, tivo stream 4k and jetstream 4k all crash when trying to tune that channel (often audio only pops up briefly, then I get a second or two of video).

Edit: indicating my audio issue was something else.

Can you please do a format=dbg capture of that channel so we can take a look. The HDHomeRun app supports both ADTS and LATM formats of AAC audio.

Right now it may not be of much use as 19 is failing to maintain plp lock with quality dropping to 19dB (when I posted earlier both qualities were as steady as that image from previous post on 19, while 28 was heavily fluctuating).

Sorry for the false alarm on windows audio as I am able to get audio on that channel in windows now... someone actually had hit mute in the app which is strange as I usually use remote to control volume of monitor (and mute of monitor) and no one else in this house should have been using it.

The channel still crashes on my chromecast and tivo stream 4k have tried a few times as signal seems a bit more steady now so I will probably work on getting that capture anyway in case you wish to check on the android issues but the main reason you cited is now moot.

Now if only closed captions/subtitles worked with ATSC 3 and the hdhomerun apps. This stream according to VLC (as well as the ones on 35) has CC streams I don't see that off of the channels on 27 but have seen TVs that have supported such from the channels on 27.

Edit: pm'd link to a dbg capture in case still desired.

VLC incorrectly reports captions available. It also only reports four 608 caption streams even when only CC1 available. It does not display 708 captions that are the 'digital' captions for ATSC 1.0 and certainly not the text file based captions that are part of the 3.0 standard.

As far as SDHR not doing captions, I don't blame them for waiting. The encoders are still in flux as are the TV's. If you were to look at one station on all three brands of TV's available, they all would display CC differently. Change from one encoder brand to another (like most days going from 27 to 35) and you'd get three more variations on theme.

I wouldn't say all good when you are missing everything off of 27

Looking at 27 I currently get great signal but about every 5 minutes or so it appears to drop completely for a second. They did appear to remove 12.1 (112.1) which is good since it wasn't working. But what isn't good is that though all the others are still listed (through config) I currently get 0 Mbps streamed for any channel selected off of 27.

To receive RF27, try re-scanning and hitting apply. The station has loaded new Route and Scheduler software which in turn changed the ROUTE ID numbers being broadcast.
