New UI - 0903b channel scrolling issue

Post by leerandall » Sat Sep 07, 2019 11:15 am

This is not a new issue with this release as I've reported it before. But now I have a video to show what it's doing since it's difficult to describe.

When you hold the up or down button on the remote to move the channel select cursor on the slice to another channel either much higher or lower in the line-up, it will increment/decrement for a while, but then will jump back to a lower/higher channel and continue scrolling from there. If you let up on the up/down button for a second or two every once in a while, then continue with your scrolling, it will not jump back to a lower/higher channel.

That is what lazy loading is all about :)... you only have details of a fraction of your channels at any given time (lets say +/-20) thus it isn't slowing down the UI with all that "useless" stuff that isn't being displayed. If you move too fast, it doesn't have time to populate the "new array" of what is available thus starts at the beginning (or at least that is how it behaves).

I understand the cause, but it should NOT jump back and forth like that. They should limit the speed at which it will scroll such that, when holding the up or down button, the jumping doesn't occur.

Yep, that's probably not supposed to happen. Will add to list.

Is any progress being made on this issue yet? It took me forever to change channels today from 202 to 351.
